Instruction Packages
Keelboat
This entry-level course is designed for those new to sailing and eager to get out on the water with confidence. You'll learn the fundamentals of sailing a keelboat, including terminology, basic maneuvers, safety procedures, and sail handling.
This course will teach you to responsibly skipper and crew a simple day sailing keelboat in familiar waters in light to moderate wind and sea conditions. With a combination of on-the-water instruction and classroom learning, you'll gain hands-on experience and a solid foundation for further sailing adventures.
Coastal Cruising
This hands-on course is designed for boaters looking to expand their skills and confidence in near-shore cruising. Students will learn essential techniques for planning and executing safe and enjoyable coastal voyages, including navigation, anchoring, weather interpretation, docking, and safety procedures.
Emphasis is placed on practical seamanship, crew communication, and understanding tides and currents. Ideal for those with basic boating experience who are ready to explore more challenging waters and extended trips along the coast.
Powerboat
This hands-on powerboating course is designed to teach the essential skills and knowledge required to operate a powerboat safely and confidently. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your handling techniques, this course covers boat handling, navigation, safety procedures, docking, anchoring, and rules of the water.
Taught by USCG certified instructors, the course combines classroom instruction with practical on-water training to prepare you for recreational boating or further certification. Perfect for anyone interested in enjoying time on the water with confidence and competence.
Catamaran
This hands-on course offers a comprehensive introduction to both sailing and powerboating on catamarans. Participants will learn the fundamentals of multihull handling, safety procedures, navigation, docking, and anchoring techniques under both sail and power.
With a focus on practical experience, students will gain confidence operating catamarans in a variety of conditions. Ideal for beginners or monohull sailors transitioning to multihulls, this course blends theory with on-the-water training to build essential skills for safe and enjoyable cruising.
Bareboat
This comprehensive course is designed for aspiring skippers who want to confidently charter and operate a sail or powerboat without a professional crew. Covering essential skills in navigation, docking, anchoring, boat systems, safety procedures, and trip planning, the course combines classroom instruction with practical, on-the-water experience.
This course is ideal for those pursuing a bareboat charter certification. Students will gain the knowledge and hands-on practice needed to handle a vessel up to 50 feet in coastal or inland waters. No prior skipper experience required, but basic boating knowledge is recommended.
